First Communion Classes

March 14, 21 & 28

12:00 noon – 1:00pm

These classes are open to families interested in having their child prepare for and learn more about receiving first communion. This is a special milestone in a child’s faith journey!  It is also a chance for you as parents to come together with your child in a way that we don’t do often enough – to grow in faith together!

Our celebration of First Communion will take place on Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Emmanuel does not have an age requirement for 1^st communion. We do, however, ask parents to use their discression in helping us identify if a child is ready to receive 1^st communion.  We encourage you to talk to Pastor Mukesh or Marian Henry if you have questions.

Bring a dessert to share!

On this special evening, our little rascals will have the opportunity to show their creative side!  Using cardboard tubes, they can create their own masterpieces decorated with paint, sequins, stickers, glue, straws, etc.  Please bring along any of these items or others that are laying around your house!

Y.E.L. Bowling Night

All youth in grades 3 thru 12 and friends are invited!         

Sunday Night special -  $35.00 per lane

  (approx. $9 per person with 4 bowlers per lane)

Includes: 2 hrs of bowling, Rental Shoes,

1 Pizza, and 1 Pitcher of Soda per lane.

Based on the Academy-Award winning animated feature, the stage version of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST includes all of the wonderful songs from the original movie. Belle's taming of the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince enthralled Broadway audiences for over 13 years.

Now join us at the brand new high school auditorium and “be our guest” for an afternoon of family entertainment.

Emmanuel’s own Mike Bideau (Lefou) and Katherine Henry are in this production. 

Tickets will be purchased in advance and we can sit together as a group.

Wednesday nights during Lent

Bible Basic Boot Camp for kids

A fun, new option will be offered for families with young children during our Wednesday evening Lenten worship services at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  While parents attend worship and learn about the basics of the Christian faith, kids will learn the same things but in a kid-friendly way!  Evenings will include “boot camp” warm-up exercises, Bible story, and related activities & games!
